I have met a lot of people who think of themselves as a victim. They are convinced that they have little or no control over their lives because the world is against them. They mainly focus on everything negative in their life hence why they feel unhappy, hopeless, helpless and sorry for themselves. I personally feel that understanding how to get unstuck from a victim mentality is vital if you want to have control over your life.

First, let’s look at some belief systems of a victim mentality:
• I can’t
• Life is hard
• Life is a struggle
• It is impossible
• I have already tried
• I am not good enough
• I don’t know how to do that
• My boss is always picking on me
• My wife never stops nagging me
• I don’t have enough time in the day
• I don’t have enough money
• I am not good enough

Can you relate to any of the above? So, now ask yourself which area(s) in your life are you feeling this way? It could be:
• Your diet?
• Your health?
• Your finances?
• Your relationships?
• Your marriage?
• Your parenting?
• Your career?
• Your business?
• Your education?
• Your living conditions?

All the above are defined as your life circumstances. The circumstances that you have created.

Are you stuck in life because:
• You don’t have enough time
• You don’t earn enough money
• Your boss is demanding
• Your wife is difficult
• Your children are challenging
• The world is so unfair to you
• You were not born with beautiful genes

Let me tell you that all these obstacles are just ILLUSIONS.
Obstacles that have been created in your MIND.
And like it or not, your MIND is the obstacle and NOT the world.

Even if it seems that way, an obstacle doesn’t exist in the outer-world. So, a business problem, a relationship problem, a money problem… all these things are just a PROJECTION of your mind. Your obstacle has been created by your beliefs, thoughts and viewpoints. If you refuse to be reflective on this matter, your attention will always be pointing to the outer-world.

Until you realise that you are the one creating the obstacle, the world will always appear antagonistic and unfair to you.

Instead of worrying about your external-world, you should consider the following:
• Your attitude
• Your judgement
• Your self-talk
• Your visualisations
• Your emotions
• Your thoughts
• Your beliefs
• Your habits
• Your Ego

When you start focusing on what’s going on in your mind, only then will you stop feeling like a victim and start living your best of life.

“You have two choices, to control your mind or to let your mind control you”.

We have to teach ourselves to be more positive!
Seeing it written helps if one relapses at times!!!
